WA Resource and Infrastructure Conference 2013
Western Australia is the nation’s resources powerhouse and 38 per cent of the country’s exports. Western Australia, like the rest of Australia, faces unprecedented challenges going forward, including significant growth in the resources industry and pressure on infrastructure to keep pace with the rapid mining expansion. Recognising the importance of integrating land use and infrastructure planning the State Government is keen to build on its partnerships with the Australian and local governments and the private sector. It’s main focus under the “Western Australian Future Directions Part III” it is heavily involved in delivering rail, port and transport infrastructure as well as increasing water supply and housing facilities to support the State’s mining boom.
This two day conference will address the myriad challenges and opportunities that face the resources industry today and in the future, and focus on a number of case studies and government legislated projects.
Western Australia is enjoying historically high levels of infrastructure construction activity as a result of the significant resources and mineral industry and under the “Future Directions Part III” plan for 2013-2031 continues to expand and grow.
The Western Australian Resources and Infrastructure Conference 2013 will provide delegates with a platform to hear from industry leaders about up-to-date projects in Western Australia. The conference will focus not only on the potential of further exploration and mining opportunities but also on the areas of concern and thus opportunities for infrastructure developments.
